Privacy Policy

Last updated July 24, 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Stowplan collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to your use of the Stowplan website and application.

Information we store

To provide the Service, we store:

  • Your account email address, used to identify your account and to contact you about your account or purchases.
  • Plan documents: the cargo lists and load plans you create or save, including container types, cargo dimensions and weights, and the computed stowage layout.
  • Share snapshots: the data underlying any share link you create, so the linked page keeps working for the people you send it to.

This data is stored in our database, provided by Supabase, hosted on Amazon Web Services in Seoul, South Korea (region ap-northeast-2).

Payments

When you buy a paid plan, payment is handled entirely by Creem, our payment processor and Merchant of Record. Stowplan never receives or stores your card number or other full payment details — Creem collects that information directly and shares with us only what we need to activate your plan, such as your plan tier and purchase confirmation.

Analytics

We use PostHog, a product analytics service, to understand how Stowplan is used so we can improve it. Analytics traffic is hosted in the United States and is proxied through our own domain, as a first-party service, rather than calling PostHog directly from your browser. We use this data for product improvement only.

AI PDF imports

If you choose to import a PDF packing list, the file is temporarily uploaded to private storage provided by Supabase and sent to Anthropic, our AI processing provider, to extract the cargo table. The temporary PDF is removed from Stowplan storage after the import attempt. You can review and edit the extracted rows before adding them to a plan.

Cookies and local storage

Stowplan uses two kinds of cookies:

  • An authentication session cookie, which keeps you signed in.
  • A share-unlock cookie, which remembers that you have entered the correct passcode for a protected share link, so you are not asked again.

We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Separately, PostHog (see Analytics above) stores an anonymous device and session identifier in your browser’s local storage, so it can recognize repeat visits for product analytics. This identifier is not a cookie, and it is not used for advertising or shared with any advertising network.

Data sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with the service providers who help us run Stowplan on our behalf — currently Creem (payments), Supabase (database, authentication, and storage hosting), PostHog (analytics), and Anthropic (AI processing for PDF imports) — and only to the extent needed for them to perform those services.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account data — including your account email, plan documents, and share snapshots — at any time by emailing hello@stowplan.app. We act on deletion requests within a reasonable time, except where we are required to keep certain records, such as billing records Creem must retain for tax purposes.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
